The Undergraduate Intaglio/Etching room has a suite of different size presses, with the largest press being  the Takach electric / pneumatic press (47.5 x 96 inches) and smallest a Griffin (21.5 x 44 inches). We also boast an original Glen Alps collagraph press. The department uses ferric chloride for etching copper and has a large ventilated space for etching plates and working with chemicals. We have a range of hot plates for applying grounds as well as a ventilated room for applying aquatint. There is also a dedicated work space for inking plates, another for preparing plates and storing prints.
